    Hi all

Has anyone heard when Rogers would be releasing updates for th 83xx to 4.5? I know there are reports that some of the newer berries are shipping with it but I can find no mention on the Rogers website

Don't have any idea but you could always install the beta like most of us that don't want to wait .44 seems pretty stable.

Very stable. What phone do you have? If the model's OS was released, you don't have to wait for Rogers to release it! :-)

I installed 4.5 on my red curve and it was hell. I had to downgrade.

I'm using 8800 and .44 beta is way more stable than the most current official release for this phone.

Seems to be a do at your own risk sort of thing, perhaps I'll just wait it out

Hey I have the 8310 too and I was gonna install os 4.5 right now but I don't know if is stable enough. Also, what's the big advantange from 4.5 in comparison to 4.2?? If u know, can u give brief details and examples...thanks.
They've given the media player and browser a serious tune-up, and reports say the browser in .44 supports AJAX. The Bluetooth stack now has stereo and control support (A2DP and AVRCP). It's now got RTSP support for mobile YouTube. You get the "L" theme. Docs to Go lets you view and edit Word and PPT files. The email viewer has been tweaked some, and it also gets HTML support once the BIS 2.5 upgrade is finished this weekend.

4.5.0.42 has been very stable on my 8310 (AT&T). No troubles other than getting worried 'cuz it took FOREVER to complete the upgrade. Best to walk away and go watch a movie or something to prevent worrying about it.

I have a 8800 att.on tmobile running 4.5.0.42 and I have nothing but good things to say..... Work like a charm..... The only thing I am having problems with is the voice mail notifer.... If someone leaves a voice mail I do not know my icon that tells me is not there but. I am going to whipe it clean and re install the os in hope of fixing it.

Can someone link to this .44 for the 8300? I've poked around and can't seem to find it.
