59 pages... wow. I really really hope this isn't redundant, but I only got through about 17 pages and didn't see my BB issue arise.

TMO BB 4.5.0.52 on an 8820
When I am on a call my device randomly reboots... also, I noticed that the device seems to run slower than on the old OS, anyone else?

LOL! I guess you still have the old OS on the PC, too, then.

I haven't necessarily see this problem on this forum, but I have elsewhere. This is a somewhat common problem with this build. I would suggest upgrading if you can find the OS. If not and you cannot live with it, I'd downgrade. Theres no reason to sacrifice the functionality of the device. I will usually downgrade if theres a problem such as you have. I don't believe theres a fix for it.

yes. I always uninstall OLD os then install New. Also I make sure I have the old OS in its exe form off in a back up folder too .. just in case new os doesn't fly I can just reinstall old with out going looking for it.

I'm sorry, but my thread started elsewhere was moved here yesterday. In it, I stated that I had 3 8310s that I had upgraded to 4.5.0.69. When I upgraded the last of them yesterday, it no longer let me have a 4 character password. All 3 of these were bought new at Costco. We use BIS. We have no IT Policy.

Of course, when I went to sync another of the 8310s today, I was forced to change my password to a 5 character password. as well. Does anyone have any idea how this might have happened, or more importantly, how I can change this back?

    Thanks!

    Hey sbennett!

    Welcome to PinStack!

4.6 is on operating system that will be coming with the release of the newer BlackBerry models, which should be the Bold, coming to AT&T first, then other carriers thereafter.

The most current OS for your device is 4.5.0.69, which is a BETA version of the OS and therefore we are not allowed, per forum rules, to post or solicit links for.

You can google that release number and readily find a download for it, but if you are new to the BlackBerry world, I would recommend waiting for an official release of the 4.5 OS from TMO, which is supposed to be out in the next few weeks.
