TWo funny things I've noticed in the latest Curve 8300 OS beta:
The equalizer only kicks in with wired headphones. I do not get the equalizer setting on the song menu when I use my bluetooth motorola headset (S9). I can go the long way around in the settings and choose the graphic equalizer settings, but changing them doesn't make any difference to the sound.

Also, I no longer get the option to choose different icons when I create a folder for the home screen.

Yea, I finally noticed the leak today. My berry was super slow so I was clearing out old texts/emails/logs/etc. then I checked my free memory and it was about 8.5 MB. Way down from about 20 MB immediately after boot up. Nothing other than a leak can bring it down so drastically, unless I installed too many apps at once.

But .52 still floats my boat. No voicemail notification problems for me though.
    I have a BlackBerry and a WhiteApple. :)

my phone just restarted out of nowhere. its right next to me and i just looked at it and its in the process of starting up. this never happened with any of the other beta OS versions that ive used. maybe i should go back to .46 since i had absolutely no problems with that one.

I've had the .52 file for a few days but have been so busy I didn't get a chance to install it until last night.

I'm not noticing any different really. Everything looks, feels, runs the same. Should I check out anything in particular? I am still noticing a leak though. About 4mb through the day.

You need a beta version of the v4.5 OS. Google 4.5.0.52, which is the latest available for your device.

Sorry I kind of jumped the gun here, .55 isn't available for the curve yet, is for the 8800 however.

Anyone having probs with BBM adds on .52? My friend and I have been trying to add each other but the request shows up in my regular message box. She even tried adding me via pin and still no luck. When she accepts my request, same thing, the confirmation just comes to the message box and isn't pulled out by BBM. Thoughts? Solutions?

i haven't ever had much luck with requesting via email.
i would delete or deny requests sent from email, then re-request using PIN

    see if that helps.

Cherri you are correct, the only time I've had 100% success was when the user is on BES(Doesn't have to be the same BES). Adding via email has been a problem including the most recent betas.
