The reinstall worked a treat, thank you, I must start treating this as a computer not a phone.
    Once again thanks to all

Theoretically .48 would be the most stable but if .46 is working fine for you, there's no real reason to upgrade unless you really just like staying up to date.

...but I have seen that keiranwest on Pinstack and xorphan on crackberry claim to have 4.5.0.44 for the 8800. Maybe they are just lying? neither seems to want to give it up.
Keiranwest said in another thread that they're a software developer for the company he/she works for, so they get their OS builds from RIM. And they also have/test Blackberries in the double digits...I think he/she said they own 25 BBs...for those purposes. So I would believe that under an NDA they cannot share anything.

I have tried it with .42 and .44. Both behave the same.

Is it just me, or does the graphic equalizer and audio boost settings on the OS 4.5 beta not do anything? No matter what setting I choose, it doesn't seem to make a difference. I upgraded to OS 4.5.0.42 for Rogers Curve 8300.

And anyone get really fat, ugly bold fonts now for unread messages in the inboxes? Basically the bolder version of the default font?

    8330 4.5.0.33 SMS Problems

I had 4.5.0.33 on my Alltel 8330 for about a week and today I realized that non-Alltel customers were not receiving my text messages. I was willing to deal with some of the other bugs in the 4.5 beta OS but I need my text messages to function properly. Has anybody else been having problems sending text messages with 4.5.0.33
