I'm downloading the .93 BETA now for my 8320. Can't upgrade on this laptop because it has some serious issues. If any 8320 stackers upgraded to .93 BETA let me now how it runs and if any different from the official .81. Thanks!

Well, I had an issue with .81 that irritated me. Both .81 and .93 have a crash as soon as restarted after the update (in my case at least). .81 had this issue with media player that wouldn't resume playing at the place I stopped the previous day. I had to restart the player for it to work. Didn't try yet the .93

Both .81 and .93 are speedier than .55 that was the most stable and feature complete (I mean working) release I had.

You may need a clean install. The crashing is following you around.

I meant to say .93, I've had it installed since the earlier post and so far no issues, tested everything I could, internet seems a little faster when loading, overall solid OS on my end

I installed 93 and am having no issues thus far. With 81, I had the black screen random shutdown problem, 3 times in one night at work. I was running Vlingo for the first time as well, and they give an explicit warning that it has not been tested with 4.5, and problems may occur. I had also upgraded to 81 with a media card in. Not so with the 93 upgrade. I just wiped using the command on the BB. Will give it a real test at work tomorrow.

I'm going back to T-mos supported 4.2. 4.5.0.93 shut down just like 81 did three times last night. First time, battery was at around 80%, and I was running Mapquest, Pocketday, and the BB browser, like I used to with 4.2 all the time. I made a phone call, and the BB shut down in the middle of it. A battery pull was necessary to start it up again, and the battery then read 0. Not even enough juice for the "radio" when charging until 5 minutes went by.
I deleted vlingo, as I suppose it's always running too, but I had the same shutdown twice after that.
I could put up with some bugs, but this random shutdown thing, reducing the battery to no charge from almost full, seems pretty bad. Never happened once with 4.2.

I pinpointed where the issue I had with .81 lies. When you enable mass storage mode then you're unable to resume the ongoing play list in your media player. You have to close it and open it again. I don't know if this was normal behavior before .81 as I never encountered it. Can someone confirm?
