    Imagine .49...

Isn't .50 supposed to be the OFFICIAL release for all carriers? I thought I read something around those lines when this beta OS discussion first started.

This is most likely because you are running a beta OS.

Go to the topic for the v4.5 OS and see if someone else there has encountered similar issues.

So in the opinion of those using .42 and .44...

Which one is better to stick with?

.44 Seems to run pretty smooth compared to .42, I dont get nearly as much interface lag as I used to.
    I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that it won't work.

I loaded .42 on my 8820 yesterday and it has been flawless. Like others here mentioned it to over an hour from start to finish. I didn't have any problems with jivetalk or any of my other 3rd party apps. It's going to take a minute to get used to the address book and calender format. But, I must say that I really love the L theme.

How do you get into BlackBerry Universe*? Does it matter if you're just a one-man show? Does it cost anything?

    *I'm assuming that's what B.U. is
