    TXS,

As posted, suggest you replace that OS ASAP, .37 has proven not to be compatible with UMA and also has destroyed many TMO SIM cards in 8320 devices. The newest, OFFICIAL operating system for your device and instructions to install them can be found thru the links in my blog....(you will need to remove the 4.5 OS from your desktop using the Add Remove programs in Control Panel)

haven't tried, but as i posted before you can use www.blueapple.mobi as a substitute... it transcodes videos from many sites and you can save them to your device

I saw your post about going with .42.
You answered my question before I even got my post out there.

Do you still have video with the .42? What other changes are there? Voicenotes? What is this colorberry thing I have heard about? Is it an app or a setting you gain?
yes video and voicenotes are still there and not much different than the other betas just that everything works, smoothly, and faster!! exept the VM notifications guess they missed that...lol colorberry is an app but doesnt work with the new OS was built for previous ones

The 4.5 device OS discussed in this thread is an unreleased version and you are likely to encounter some bugs and issues, which may or may not cause certain applications not to function correctly and may even render your phone un-usable pending an operating system restore.

If this is your first BB I would suggest you become familiar with the device using the 4.2 operating system that will come installed.
if i did upgrade out of the box, is there anyway to backup the existing firmware and revert back to it? if not, where can i find the most current production firmware?

    thank you.

    4.5 .42 version

So I'm liking what I'm "not" seeing. I do not see that anyone has had a case of a fried SIM card on this .42 version of the betas. I did see an SOS earlier but that was in a place where I usually don't get reception. I took the card out and put it back, rebooted... everything working fine. I'm also reading about the non-voicemail icon, that's not so good. I'd rather deal with that than have to worry about having to frequent T-MO store for SIM cards though. All of my other programs seem to be working with good precision. I really do hope a complete "official" version is on the horizon, it's such a time waste to have to continually find new issues..

I do not know if I should try and downgrade the OS or if I should go out and look for the .42 version. Is that the latest?

Also, can anyone verify the changes from .37 and .42? In .37 I did gain voice notes and video for my 8320 which is exactly what I wanted! I saw in a previous post where someone said they had issues with the .42 not giving the video function or the bass adjustment functions and some other things he thought were included.

What's a girl to do? I want the video and voice note feature but not helping if the sim card is fried! Oh, and the main reason I upgraded the OS in the first place was so that it would recognize my 8gb micro hcsd card.
I would get off of .37 as its going to keep frying your sim card. .42 I havent heard anyone on this forum at least of frying it since then.

You wont lose video or anything else from upgrading off that horrible version.

From what I think is caused the .37 to fry the card was linked to the UMA not working. Even when I had my wifi off on that version I saw the wifi picking up the signal as it was working twice as fast. As soon as I turned my wifi on and left it on for the night, the next morning my sim was dead. It was definetely a bug with UMA, which is no longer in .42

But it seems like more of a delay when I select something or when I scroll.

I did get a reset after closing a 8 min video from youtube
off topic sorry but i couldnt private cause i have to have "10 posts" anyways i have a 8320 on tmo with UMA at home but cant access YOUTUBE it states its a data intensive website how did you get it to work and what can i do to make it work? also?

i had the .37 and it was garbage cant really experiment either im on a millitary base in NC where theres ZERO tmo stores so cant risk my SIM getting fried ....in regards to the .37 it slowed my phone down bad glitched and lagged the first hour it was on so im done experimenting for now.
