Not sure if this where this kind of thing gets posted...

This morning I awoke to the annoance of my Pearl having only GPS coverage... I was peaved...!!!

Once it came back online gues what I discovered...???

    OTA OS download...!!!

Under Setings/advanced... there it was at the bottom of the list...

Now my only dilemma is do i let it do it's thing, and downgrade from the 4.5.0.69 version I've happily been runnig for the last few days...

What to do... what to do...

Wireless upgrade is obviously a newer feature of the more current OS releases.

I believe most of us who have upgraded to the latest 4.5 releases have or had it at one point (mine has since disappeared since re-registering on the network).

Anyway, the purpose of this feature is NOT a complete OS upgrade, but will be used for updates to certain modules such as the browser application, etc.

So, at this point, there is no OTA OS upgrade. Perhaps in future releases, but for now, and since most of these upgrades require manual intervention (deletion of the vendor.xml file for instance), we will continue to do OS upgrades through the Desktop Manager.

Mine actually didn't appear until after I'd re-registered with the network... It obviously sent out new service books?
