Does anyone know where I can find a Change log for v4.2 to 22.214.171.124 and ... RIM Handheld OS forum
OS v126.96.36.199 change log and shorcuts
Does anyone know where I can find a Change log for v4.2 to 188.8.131.52 and a shortcut guide?
Some shortcuts don't work in the newest version of 4.5 that use to in 4.2 -- and i'm sure there might be some newer shortcuts in 4.5 as well.
Here is what's new for your Curve:
• BlackBerry Maps with Points of Interest (H)
• Improved media player with playlist support and automatic playlist generation (H)
• Voice note recording (H)
• Video recording on Curve models (H)
• Streaming support for YouTube and Sling Player (H)
• Microsoft Office document editing with DocumentsToGo (H)
• Native format attachment downloading (S)
• HTML e-mails (S)
• Over-the-air device upgrades (S)
• Free/busy calendar lookup (S)
• Searching the server for old e-mail messages (S)
S=Server (BlackBerry Internet Service)
Here is a thread with shortcuts for the Curve models.
definitely some info in there I didn't know.
Though, I think I could have been more clear on my original request. Originally I was looking for a change log from 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11.
Is it out there?
Couldn't tell you what's different from those two releases. Presumably each subsequent release fixes bugs in its predecessor.
Thats what I figured.
Although, I feel some new shortcuts and features pop-up that are not detailed in any documentation for new versions of BB OS's. I could be wrong though (simply never noticed them).
For example: while playing music, from pretty much any app (opera mini doesn't work), you can hold the volume up key for about 2 seconds and it will forward the track. And volume down will return to previous track.
The BB curve documentation only tells you the "n" and "p" shortcuts (to do same as above), except they only work within the media player app.
I am pretty much tapped into Blackberry News daily through RSS feeds, so if the *hold* volume up/down (from any app) shortcut is out there, it must be buried! Or im looking in the wrong places!
I have found some other obscure shortcuts, I think i'll start recording them and if the list is big enough, then will create a post.
We all definitely appreciate learning new things around here, so you're welcome to post any time with any insight/tips/tricks/knowledge, etc that you might have to share!
