OS Install Wait for Device Initialization
I just got a curve(AT&T 8310) about a week ago. Yesterday I started getting file system errors. After some research I used javaloader to wipe the device and proceeded to reinstall the OS. Every time I install the OS it gets stuck at Step 2: Wait for Device Initialization.
There is no OS on it. It does the blinking thing to show that there is no OS. I have followed various guides online about how to deal with this and similar problems but with no success. I let it sit at Step 2 for about 14 hours so I am not sure that it will ever complete.
Is there any way to determine the state of the device? What else can I do? Do I need to exchange the device for a new one? Thanks.
Just a Question, did your put the battery back in before the initialization starts? Your device will not initialize without the battery.
I actually posted here asking you how long you waitied, then I re-read the post again. I was going to suggest that you be patient, but it's me who needs more patience.

If that happened to me, I would get the device reflashed at the nearest carrier location or just call support and get it replaced. Just seems like too much trouble trying to fix a new device. Thats what warranties are for anyways ;P
yea but warranties dont cover you adding/deleting/modifying the system files.
