using an OS not made for you phone for no real gains in advantage (short of having a higher version OS on your 8700 than most other people)? if you want a working phone and the benefits of this particular revision of the OS, just go back to Telstra's latest offering.

    Telstra OS:

Additional Themes, including the new Today themes (really and truly, the only benefit of the Vodafone 8707 OS versus the Telstra 8700 OS):

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
The only suggestion I could make is reinstall the 8700 and 8707 software on the comp then copy just the java folder over from the 8707 to the 8700 software folder and try again

I got the JVM 23 error too. It happened when I copied the 8707 stuff into the existing T-mobile/Bharti directories. If you follow the procedure using the Telstra OS instead of T-mobile, it will work.

    Re: OS 4.1.0.394 (8707 software)

installed it on a roger 8700R been working fine for 5 days now, no real improvements over the other software that i can see, running the blackberry .alx file also with theme package from jibi post on bbf.
software was slow at first and then got faster after usage, i do have a strnger signal with the new software, but everything else is the same, no major benifit of upgrading here, but it did work fine and have had no problems as of yet

Question Re: OS 4.1.0.394 (8707 software)

"JVM 523 Error RESET" here too on my TMO 8700g.
Inspite of following the instructions given by N8 and others here.
    Its dead for the moment.

    Graph.

Back on the go now but with the Telstra OS instead.

3.0 and 2.0 in this case just represent the different Platforms the OS is on.

    Re: OS 4.1.0.394 (8707 software)

My problem is when I connect the phone to the pc. The Blackberry Device Manager says the phone is connected HOWEVER the Desktop Manager is not showing it as being connected therefore I am not getting any option to "Downgrade" and I can't do anything on my phone as the only thing it show is that blasted JVM error
