I have a quick question. My IT is a pain in the arse, and I just went on their BES a few weeks ago. If I update the software, am I going to have to do another enterprise activation?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i thought the newer themes wouldn't let you change anything, such as background pic, and order of icons. Is this true?

Anyone who has tried this, let me ask:

When you go to connect the BB to your DM, is it NOT recognizing that there is an update?

This was an issue with myself and someone else. I believe you are going to have to copy the files...Please let me know.

Longshot, did you have to do the copy or only delete the vendor file?

well the first time i did not have to do anything i saw the update but after the install it worked fine but i ahd no home screen or and antenna lol so i did the copy paste option and reinstalled.. and yes you cannopt re- organize the today themes but they are made speciically for that set up.. you can reorganize the icons in the menu part of it.. also u can change the BG in the dimension today screen but not the vadafone as well as you can not re assign the middle key in the today themes

all of the 8700 carrier themes instead of doing it the hard way and installing and finding all the theme cods you can jsut open the Blackberry.alx file in notepad or something and chang everything that has a vendor ID in the theme are to tmobils venter id or whom ever your vendor is make sure you only change the 8700 themes though or you will have a bunch of unusable themes on ytour device

    Re: OS 4.1.0.394 (8707 software)

Just gave it a try on my 8700C. Its not picking up the update and when I checked for the two folders in the Loader, I only find the one for the 8707. I am running the Telstra version.

    Current platform 2.0.0.0.133
    Current App Version 4.1.0.309

    Any thoughts?

You may be running the telstra on your handheld, but do you also have the software package downloaded on your computer?

That was it. I did not have the Telstra on my computer. Addressed that and like the man says, "It works".

Just follow the above instructions and it works fine. The only files you really need to move into the 8700 folder and still have it useable are the java folder. The umts folder the pkg file and the blackberry.alx you can move more if you want but to use them you'll haver to edit the pkg file
