I've been using the Orange 4.5 on my TMO 8320 for about a week, and WIFI works as well as Video. No SIM issues either. It seems to run like a champ!

Question

will this work with any carrier? I'm with Rogers, can I download this version for my 8800 or should I wait for my carrier to release their version?

Thank you,

Upgraded mine yesterday using the UK Orange release OS (I previously used the Sri Lanka version but had some issues with my SIM so I downgraded it back to 4.2). One problem I encountered yesterday is my browser settings. It only gave me Tzone and Hotspot Browser as an option and no "Internet Browser". My email was working fine but I can't connect to my Yahoo Messenger and Gmail at the same time as my browser. I called up Tmobile tech support and they weren't able to fixed the problem so they forwarded me to a RIM tech support. I was put on hold so I start doing some test on my own. I guess they did something with the settings while I was on hold because by the time the tech guy returned, my problem was fixed. I was given a case # for 3 days just in case the problem comes back. Right now everything seems to be working just fine

Btw, I'm also wondering if there's any difference between the 4.5.0.52 and the 4.5.0.55?

Thanks, think I'm just gonna leave well enough alone and keep my 4.5.0.52, Thanks again.

P.S. - The Tmobile tech person told me that they are just waiting for Tmobile's approval on those new OS before officially releasing it to the public. She didn't gave me a specific date but I'm guessing it will be soon

May I ask how to install this OS on my Blackberry 8310? I download the exe file then run it on my computer. Now How do I install it on my Blackberry device?

You know that Model has been discontinued right! If you're still under warranty - Find a problem and give your Carrier a call and they will send you a 8310 (just be suprised) when they ask if you would accept that instead of the 8300. But, you didn't get that from me, cause I aint the one to Gossip...

1. Download the new OS and install it.

2. Delete the vendor XML file under program files/common files/app loader.

3.Open desktop manager and backup your device.

4. Go to applications install and install it!

Darn, I would be at work when I see this! I am running .52 on my 8310 now and no major issues.

I am with all the others, anyone see any difference in .52 and .55?
