Ok, what is BlackBerry MDS Runtime and MDS Default Launcher? What is the S/MIME Support Package? What are the DOD Root Certificates? Do I really need any of them? And has any one else had/ fixed a problem of when you go to messages and are reading them, there is a black box to the left of the date? It kind of bothers me, but I can deal with it if there is no fix...

Several folks been asking the same question. I upgraded to an earlier 4.5 OS (sri Lanka) and had the ringtone volume issue so I downgraded back to 4.2. So has anyone with an 8310 ATT curve upgraded yet to this new 4.5 OS and had ringtone volume issues?

Downloaded and installed everything fine. Took about 1.5 hours total. Everything seems to be working as promised. This new OS is Awsome! Thanks!

just dowloaded new os on bb pearl. but noticed that when i try to view pictures on media it resets my phone automatically shutting the phone ofF, as if it were a reset button. all previous mods like color pearl and themes were removed prior to updating. what is wrong with this new os system? or my phone? how do i fix it?

Ringtones level sucks in all 4.5 OS versions. Ringtones are only ok on the old 4.2 OS version. You think they could have corrected this by now.
