i downloaded it and had a little big problem during the upgrade. It gave my bb a 507 error, my phone wouldn't start up at all...so after freaking out for a good 10 mins, i found a guide here that explains how to reload the os. works fine now, dont see much difference between this and the .10 beta i had though.

w/c one is better .18 or .37 if there are 2 versions of the OS... would the .37 be better (because the # is higher??)...

    what is the difference?

will my apps still be there? or i have to DL them again...

.37 is better, so if your on .37, I suggest you stick to it.

This is my local carrier...If this is on there site I can certainly vouch that this has been approved through the testing channels and that the RIM TAM would have had input on this.

Vodacom follow the Vodafone channel when it comes to branding, etc due to Vodafone owning a big chunk of them now.
I would not be surprised if we started seeing this through Vodafone themselves soon, if not already.

Why is it necessary to delete the vendor.xml file?
I forgot to do so, but I have found nothing wrong so far.

Because they may be some subset of your original provider---if so then there would be no need to remove the vendor file. So---if it did upload then it's compatible with your provider.
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

Can I ask why? You may be waiting for a year or more. As long as your phone is GSM you wont have a problem, as long as you also have the 8310. You can cross providers (gsm to gsm and cdma to cdma) just not devices.
