"UPDATE" - The download link is now up and running. Thanks to those who found this out, by I'm sure lots of trial and "error" (no pun intended). I'm in the process of downloading it myself. Please post any bugs/fixes from any previous beta releases that you have found in this thread. Last edited by ERShotty; 08-11-2008 at 06:21 PM. |

This is the actual site, the link you posted is a generic page and will NOT work. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...027FA84709689E Please not that this is really 4.5.0.56 and called .82 so it may not be as big of a change as you think. Thank you for the updated link. I think the point is that it's an official release... which I'm sure for all of us CDMA users is good thing, seeing as we're always the last to get anything. lol

Sorry if I came out sounding rude, that was not my intention. You are corrrect it is indeed good that an official release for the 8330 is there. I was trying to imply that if you already have a newer beta or something close to .56 it might not be worth the upgrade as the software is labelled as .82 and really that is not the case |

FYI, this release will apply for 8130 and 8330 users only. 8830 users will need to continue running beta .51 for now.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

No worries Kieran! It's all good. I've just been waiting for an official release seeing as how the last version I had (.66 I believe) still had a couple of bugs (i.e. today plus theme reseting icon placements... incompatibility with Telus Navigator etc.) I'm with Telus, and I think many of us who are on Telus are looking for our "GPS fix/patch" as our curves have GPS that's crippled... but not disabled like Verizon. RIM and Telus both are aware of this and they are "known issues" (god I hear the expression too much from both RIM and Telus) and are supposedly working on a fix for us, with the upgrade to 4.5. Now if only Telus would give us streaming... I'd be totally happy. lol |

if it's like any other release, all you have to do is delete the vendor.xml file. It's in C:Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/apploader |
