    So there's nothing in there that says BlackBerry DEVICE Software? If that's the case, the OS did NOT download and/or install correctly.

    Download it again and make sure it is actually installed on your PC by going into the Control Panel again. If it's there, delete the vendor.xml file, connect the device to the PC and launch the DM again and you should be good!

    Let us know how it goes!

    dm manager does not see any device software downloaded it three times tried to put .69 back in, Dm will not see it, removed all bb software through add remove programs dm .89 and the new one reninstalled still the same no vendor file found any sugestions

    Okay, so you have only ONE OS on your PC now, correct? You see it in Add/Remove Programs?

    Have you rebooted your PC at all during this process?

    How about Desktop Manager? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling that as well?

    yes reinstalled 4.6 going to try 4.5 see if that works as of now it is bricked

    yes it does reconizes the device just no software cant even downgrade

    trying IE instead of firefox see if that makes a difference cause as of now im lost. Under device info in JL_c it has changed from two lines of code to 8 lines dont know if that makes a difference

    Wow, at this point my only advice would be to methodically start from scratch.

    Make sure the device is completely wiped with jl_cmndr.
    Uninstall Desktop Manager and any OS's you have on the PC.
    Reboot PC.
    Reinstall Desktop Manager.
    Reinstall Device OS.
    Reboot PC.
    Delete vendor.xml file.
    Connect device to PC.
    Launch DM and see what happens!
