It seems like the 8830's haven't had an update in a while, so maybe this is a sign that the 4.3 OS is being actively developed? Not trying to start a rumor mill, just an observation. I obtained my 8830 back in October I believe and there had been two updates 4.2.2.123 and 4.2.2.176 although VZW released their .176 mid November, but nothing since. My fingers are crossed. I'd LOVE the ability to stream audio as I miss the XM/Sirius I could get on my WM devices.

I have a 7290 (no one laugh!) with v4.1 on it. Is it possible to upgrade this version on this phone? And while I'm asking... where would I go to get it if your answer is yes?

I don't think there will be a 4.3 for that model. Not sure if there's even a 4.2 for it. All I got on my 7100t is 4.1.0.309 (and that came out before the 7290).

On a side note, I will be waiting for this for my Pearl (if I don't just get the 8130 on an impulse purchase).

I have got myself a 8310 to try and feed the addiction while I wait for 4.3.

I found it too hard to live without my media card so I returned my 8100 to 4.2.

So hopefully the new phone will keep me busy till the new OS comes out, we have only 10 weeks left to wait at the most. And ill will then have video recording.

What does this mean? Doesn't the 8310 have media card capability? My 8300 does and I was positive that the 8310 just added GPS to the 8300 with no loss of other features.

I have a 8100 and got my hands on a beta of 4.3 but the only way to get it to work was not out in my media card. But I missed my music too much so I have bought myself a 8310 to keep me going till the offical release comes out.

Hope this clears up what I posted

i had a 7290 and sorry no 4.2, only 4.1.0.3 i beleive is the max for it.

ive got a 8700 now, i hope this 4.3 is good for it.
