This is a very good question. I've recently been looking at a 6gb MicroSD card and noticed in a review by chance that the Blackberry doesn't support MicroSD cards over 4gb unless you have OS version 4.3. However, no more was mentioned about what the capacity is. I think a clarification on this would be really helpful.

I was feeling brave this morning, or foolish, and decided to try 4.3 and have it working well so far. Don't have the issue with the re-starting. How I have over come this is by not having a memory card installed.
If you do a search here you can find out where to get it.
Now I'm not saying you should try it and you do so at your own risk.
But had to give it another try.

So according to that the Blackberry Pearl (8100) will be able to support 8GBs with the new 4.3OS? Thats nice, no more MP3 player.

with the 8120 (4.3 OS) i dont like how the address book has that extra line for the comany name (i.e. 2 lines = 1 contact) ....does the 4.3 OS update include this also or will it be the same as before? (1 line = contact)

Its not on pinstack but there is a thread which tells you where to get it. And yes I have had it in my phone for the last 24 hours without any major problems. No memory card though case when I put it in the phone keeps restarting.

I'm not telling you to try this and you do so at your own risk.

But yes its lovely to have 4.3 even with out a MC.
