I have a Verizon Pearl 8130 and I would like to upgrade as soon as I get the time to mess with it. The main reason I would like to upgrade is that I have read that 4.5 will include the ability to read and edit MS Office documents via DataViz or something like it.

Could someone tell me whether this is a part of the 4.5 upgrade and how it works for them?

The box for Docs2Go isn't automatically checked to install during the upgrade. You'll have to go back into the App Loader and install separately.

I'm 4.5.0.52 and it's in there. I can't swear it's from Orange. I'm away from my p-c now but I'll check it in the morning.

You don't have any * to go icons? Have you looked for it as an application using DM? I thought it was in all 4.5,s but Icould be wromg.

Sorry if I missled. I have (Orange) 4.5 on my 8320 and 8100, both have Docs. I HAD 4.5 on my 8120 and I could have sworn it had Docs on it too - I have gone back to 4.5 on the 8120 because of a couple of issues I wasn't happy with in 4.5 on that device - it was Orange too. I may just upgrade the 8120 again. I can't see why Docs would be eliminated from THAT device.

Doesn't make much sense to me either, JB as to why they wouldn't include it for the 8120 and yet have it on all the other Pearl models.

::edit:: Actually, it's both the 8110 and 8120 that are missing from that list.
