Try and ping it and wake it up... Open Desktop Manager...Go to Settings/Connection Settings, and press the "detect USB port" and see if that doesn't help. |

Thank you for your assistance, Tried that no luck, from what i can see it seems that the Desktop Mngr is not acknowledging the handset. What does OS mean?

OS-Operating System. I am a little late joining in on this one, but will your device even turn on and boot up? |

Hi I have an 8703 and this happened 2 times 2 weeks ago after I installed a game. Yep same error code and everything. I'm not great with computers either so I called BB support and they walked me through the entire re install. But like everyone said re install is all u can do. It took them (BB) and I 1 hour and 45 min. On the phone but it worked. They will walk u through it. Be sure your sitting at ur computer when you call because my BB wasn't recognized by desktop manager either and we had to download the software for desktop and bb from the internet allover again. That's what took so long. I hope u were smater than me and had all the stuff on ur BB saved ie.back uped.goodluck. Its not the end of the world but it sure felt like it haha. Let me know if I can help. A shoulder to whine on. That's what I did with all the nice people on pinstack. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ call your service provider, they should have a BB support team. That is also the best place to get the software needed for your BB.
