Is there a way to upgrade using mac OS. It seems I'm kind of SOL with a lot of this Blackberry stuff. I just got my 7100g today.

    RJones, Welcome to PinStack.

I have heard that the latest version of PocketMac will allow installation of your OS. Can't verify this though, don't have a mac.

Re: General and 4.1 Blackberry OS Guide

I have a question. I have a Vodafone IE Blackberry 7100v and I am wondering does anyone know when Vodafone IE plans on releasing a download for the new 4.1 firmware.

Also Would it be posible to install another carriers firmware and will it work ?

    Isaac702, welcome to PinStack.

Don't know any projection on an update from Vodafone, but using another carriers OS, normally doesn't cause any problems as long as its the correct OS for your device.

    Hope this helps

Re: General and 4.1 Blackberry OS Guide

That's odd. Did you check to see if all the apps were checked when you upgraded? What theme are you using? Some themes have the MemoPad in an Applications folder and not on the main screen. Did you look for hidden Apps on the home screen? ALT+Trackwheel to open the menu and then Select Show All.

Re: General and 4.1 Blackberry OS Guide

when i upgraded all that it showed was the "blackberry essential programs" or something like that. im using plasmic themes which you basically create your own themes but it has the memo pad icon. when i upgraded, it deleted the application folder and put all the apps on my home screen except for memopad

    pyroman,

Go to your Options/Advanced Options/Applications and select Modules from the Menu. Search through it for net_rim_bb_memo_app. Do you see it?
