Fix: HTTP 400 - Bad Request

This applies to the following:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server Software version 4.1
BlackBerry Device Software version 4.1

ProblemOn the BlackBerry device, when you attempt to browse to a web site on the corporate intranet using the BlackBerry Browser, you receive the following error:

HTTP 400 - Bad Request

Fix:

On the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, open Microsoft Internet Explorer and browse to the web site on the corporate intranet.
On the BlackBerry device Home screen, click BlackBerry Browser.
Click the trackwheel, select Options, then select Cache Operations.
Click Clear History, and click Clear for the Content Cache, Pushed Content, and Cookie Cache.
Perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry device.

This also happens on a BIS. I've had this happen several times.

Im on BIS as well an iv been getting a HTTP '500' - bad requst msg every now and then since iv upgraded my OS. Is this related to the HTTP '400' msg?

This does not solve the problem. Any other fix available??

The problem is you have suggested fix for 4.1. But i have 4.0 software version in 7280 blackberry.(4.1 cannot be loaded in 7280)

Please suggest a fix for software version 4.0

welcome to pinstack. 4.1 includes the abilitity for the issue to be resolved. If you can't upgrade you may want to contact RIM.

HTTP Error 400: Bad Request - this happens on all sites i try to go to using the blackberry browser. it just started happening with no changes being made to the server or handheld. its always worked fine before.

also when i get the error trying and view details it tells me:
"ERROR the requested URL could not be retrieved
while trying to retrieve the URL. HteeteeP://MJ/ (this is not the website i was going to!)

The following error was encountered.

Invalid URL.

I tried the above fix but no go - any other ideas

i have an 8700C
using BES 4.0

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~theres no more surefire way to fix a problem than... Go buy another BB! Atleast that's the fun way to take care of it, lol.
