    Thumbs down Error 200 on 8520

    Hi Guys,
    This time I'm really stuck.
    I got a white screen with the information "error 200" and an icon (very small) to reset.
    Which I did.
    Nothing happened, did a couple of battery pulls, and stil the same error.
    Result - NO BB ! What to do ?
    Apreciate all help please.

    You will need to wipe the BB and reinstall the operating system.

    When you hook the phone to the pc does the pc recognize it?

    Nothing ! The Desktop doesn´t at all.
    The message "App Error 200" is on the screen permanent, with a little "Reset" button, thats it !
    Tried to reset, did battery pulls, always same result... I can´t even switch it off, unless I take the battery out...
    Guys, sorry have to go and catch some zzzz now - it´s almost 01H00 here, and tomorrow is up and about at 07H00-
    In the mean time my trustworthy 8900 is in the move...

    Hi guys...
    I consulted BB service here and they advised to take the 8520 to their "health clinic".
    Will keep you guys posted, as well as give information as to the "app error 200" syndrome... I just hope it's quick !

    If they don't figure it out let us know there are a few things to try. It can be fixed I am sure it will just take a little time.

    Thanks for the concern, but this afternoon I took the 8520 to the local BB boys, and from the sneering I witnessed they thought I was a dumbo...anyway, 15 min later they came back and guess who was sneering ? What a bunch of idiots...! To cut a long story short, they didn´t know what the hell happened, couldn't explain as well, and now they are going at the 8520 with hammer and chisel !
    By friday, after a diagnostic test (Alt + lg+ lg ....duh...!) they will probably give me a new one. In the meantime I'm using the 8900 (which is my pvt phone, whereas the 8520 was the salt mine's property...)
    I'll keep you guys posted on the outcome !

    The "App Error 200" is a a no-no - the technicians didn't explain - I was excpecting that.
    Gave me new 8520 and thats it !
    No more "App Error 200".
    I hope it lasts, though.
