    Destop manager issue

    Hi All,
    i had some problem with my 8100 pearl so AT&T gave me new device.
    when i connected the new device to my PC its connected successfully but when i open application loader its giving me error
    " The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry device software for the device you have connected to the computer"

    i re-installed the desktop manager from original CD as well as from BB website but still the error is there
    Anybody has experianced such error.

    Have you restarted your BB since you did the install of the DM? Remove the battery or press ALT, RIGHT SHIFT KEY, DEL, and that will restart your BB.

    Try that, then connect it to your computer, run DM and see if that solves your problem.

    its asking you for the DEVICE software. you need to download and install the pearl handheld software, from your provider's website OR here (but you don't have your carrier information, so i can't link you to it)
    the device OS did not come on the CD. it is something completely different from desktop manager

    post back with questions or concerns

    Its US AT&T i think i mentioned that one My device OS version is 4.2.1.96 same as my old phone..
    The Desktop manager's application loader is not showing any application in list. i had 4.2 version & my Vista crashed due to this 4.2 version of desktop manager i downloaded 4.3 & will try out in evening.
    I have not tried resetting the BB i will try that one also & let you know you guys

    As Cherri posted, installing this software on your desktop should clear up this issue. Let us know how it goes!
