I work for Digicel Jamaica and the latest version we have is 4.1.0.377 and a few before that. This goes for 7130 and 8700. So just use the Cingular OS if ur with Digicel and u will be kool.

You should go through your Carrier/Operator to get an official beta version directly from RIM. I believe you said you work in blackberry tech support for a carrier, so you should be able to do it through the proper channels.

I know when Cingular first released the Pearl, they didn't have a version for the Pearl either. Took about two to three weeks before they posted it.

What version of the OS is running on your 7230? This device is one of the older BBs and is limited to 4.0.x.xxx

But you can upgrade to the latest version of 4.0. Check out the revelavant links on the BB FAQ & Guides page for where to get the latest OS for your carrier/device and how to update it. The specific ones you will want is Blackberry OS Software links (by carrier) and How to: OS 4.x Upgrade for your Blackberry.
