BlackBerry 8800 Software - Version 4.5.037 Download ![]() This is officially released for Vodaphone Germany 8800. It can also be installed on other 8800 BlackBerry smartphones from other carriers, however your carrier and RIM does not offer support for alternate carrier upgrades. Unless you are an advanced user it is recommended to wait for the official release from your carrier. See Upgrade instructions (To keep things specific discuss upgrade below and not in the this thread) [Download here] |

Sorry to ask again, but is that the 88XX series or just the 8800?

I don't know about 88xx but I have the 8800 t-mobile and i am on the 4.5.0.18 OS and will be upgrading to .37 tonight. Thanks Pin Stack for the DL. Remamber guys to delete the vendor.xlm in the blackberry folder. |

What does deleting the vendor.xlm file do and what happens if you don't. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

if you don't delete the vendor.xml it won't recognize your carriers phone do a search from my computer and you will find it, or move it to your desktop if you are afraid of deleting it> |

Didn't work on the 88xx series, we'll have to wait a little longer.

vendor.xlm if i am not mistaken lets the phone know what carry the phone is on, ex. I am on t-mobile and i put in the Vodaphone Germany 8800 OS i can't use my phone unless i want roaming charges, correct me if i am wrong guys. the phone will think its a Vodaphone's network. I hope i got it right, so deleting the vendor.xlm will allow you to upload the new OS with any confusing to your phone. If i am wrong I am sorry and will delete this. |

Bear with me ppl I suck at this stuff. If I downlaod a new OS from directly from my carrier (sprint) do I still need to delete the vendor file?
