    hmm, you have tmo too right? If so, idk, try a different appliance for now. This is not our carrier release so that is probably why. When tmo releases its own 4.5, it will probably support tmo's IM.

    I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL IT...I GO TO THE LINK AND CLICK IT, SHOWS A PAGE WITH THE OPTION TO DOWNLOAD AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS IN GERMAN. I SCROLL DOWN AND CLICK THE PART THAT, I COULD ONLY ASSUME, MEANS ACCEPT AND DOWNLOAD...I CLICK THAT, GO THRU THE PROMPTS AND IT DOWNLOADS SUCCESSFULLY. PROBLEM IS, NUTHING CHANGES ON MY PHONE...I GO TO CONNECT MY 8100 TO MY DM AND IT SAYS No application configured for synchronization

    ANY IDEAS WHERE I TAKE IT FROM HERE?

    Did you install the OS to your PC? You need to do that then delete the vendor .xml file under program files/common files/RIM

    What DM are you using?

    i still get the same message...nuthing has changed
    i deleted the .xml file under program files/common files/rim

    i have uninstalled and reinstalled the OS and nuthing...

    Actually, i don't...I am having issues too. Trying the new DM 4.3 to see if it will install.

    Man, im sorry, I am having the same problems! I will let you know if I figure this out. You dl 4.5, install 4.5, delete th .xml file and yet it still does not update your BB? Right? Well, thats my problems, I am trying an DM update to 4.3. Maybe that will work.

    If anyone here has successfully gotten it to work, I need a walk through because my 8100 is not recognizing it. I have even deleted the vendor.xml file.

    Interesting posts....first - if you have an 8110, 8120, or 8130 the 8100 software is not for you (and wont work)....second, after you download from the vodaphone link, you need to execute the file your DL'd in order to install it on your desktop. Now, once past these steps, find and delete the vendor.xml file (unless you are a vodaphone customer)...NOW - Launch Desktop Manager, you shouold be prompted to upgrade. IF NOT - post back - there may well be an issue with the file on line.
