I've tried traffic.com, but that's acting up all the time plus not very PDA-friendly.

    Re: BB-friendly traffic report?

What part of Michigan are you in?
There are a few that run via SMS messaging.
There are others you can sign up for that will send email or sms messages.
Since I am not sure where you are at, my first advice would be to log onto the local news stations websites in your area and see if they offer either of these services, or have a traffic only dedicated web page..

You could also search "WAP Traffic Websites".

I'm in the Detroit area...at least..that's where my work is. Thanks for the hints. Never even thought of local stations. I'll go hunting.

I use SigAlert. They send SMS to alert you of a traffic report or accident. I think there is still a free trial. I am not sure if it works everywhere since I use it for the Los Angeles, CA area.

I get traffic from a local station and from msn. They come via email and SMS depending on how I set it up.

I would be interested in a map or at least pullable lists for the LA-Orange County freeways.

Doesn't really help anyone who posted above but in the Houston area we have Transtar and they also offer a lower res PDA version of their traffic map. If you have something similar in your area you might want to dig around to see if you can extract the URL for the traffic map image.

What about through RSS feeds. Visit this site for the RSS feed for Detroit traffic........http://www.traffic.com/Detroit-Traff...c-Reports.html. I use piconews and Berry Bloglines. Hope this is what you are looking for.
