Forgot to address this one, too. Yes, the new OS that everyone is eagerly awaiting is the much ballyhooed 4.5. It is not the same thing as the 4.3 on the VZW Pearls. (Although many of the features of 4.3 are in 4.5). You may not notice too much of a difference, in fact. (I haven't played with a VZW OS so I'm not sure of all of the features)

Folks still using the 4.2 OS's will notice a huge difference, however.

I updated my 8320 to 4.5 and have not had any issues with my memory card (I have a 4GB card).

I've been waiting 6 months for this mythical OS upgrade, what's another few weeks?

Hehe...and the leaks begin. Hopefully the leaked OS we're running is the final that was sent to the carriers (instead of another Beta), so that it is officially released sooner rather than later.

I'm running the 4.5 beta and have run into a few issues, however the media card issue is not one of them. I have more than once been playing video (both from sd and streaming youtube) when my device rebooted its self. I am also encountering alot of network connectivity issues. Numerous times per day my phone loses Network Connectivity and searches for a few seconds before reconnecting. Also I have gotten a few calls that went straight to voicemail and never rang in.

So I'm wondering, who has actually encountered the media card bug and what they have done to troubleshoot / resolve the issue. I've searched and can't seem to find any other post, here or elsewhere on other forums, regarding it.

I'm one of the ignorant ones that has ignored all warning and downloaded the leaked 4.5 so for with no bugs. Connectivity to the network is awesome, no media card issues what so ever, and it runs a lot faster and smoother than before.

If this isn't already the final version then I can't wait to see it.

Worth this long of a wait, not so much.

But it is a much needed upgrade and I'm very pleased with it thus far.

Great advice, Outsider (1st post) and thanks for the information. I will pay to wait, as many have said, for the official release. Even though we all want it, patience will reward us.

No. And yes. Html email is apparently in all software 4.2.2 and higher, but we are not able to use it until RIM updates to BIS 2.4 (or whatever they are calling it)
