    Hi all Stackers,

I need to wipe my device, since its acting up.

I never did it before and I dont wana mass things up more then they are already. I know that all the info is posted in the stackes already, but I dont have the time to search around for it. So if anybody could kindly refer me to the following info:

How to safely backup my device and all my app's and data on it?

And since lame Tmo hasn't updated the OS on the 8100, is there an upgrated OS out there that I could install on my devic? And how to install it safely?

    Thanks so much in advance,
    Mike

    Crack,
You can find links to threads on most all of your questions in My Blog (just click below), including

Download link for Desktop Manager (use this to back up your data and to install the new operating system)

How to wipe your device using JL_Cmder (may not be necessay, suggest you try just a new OS first)

Links to download the latest operating system by device

How to upgrade your operating system.

Take a look at those threads and then post back any questions.

I am running 4.5.0.55 right now on an 8100 with no real issues. I need a multi language version with Chinese support as I use my 8100 when I travel to Asia.

You should be fine with .102 from Rogers....thats the newest.
