I guess my question was more about, with the new OS do I actually need it? or is the new HTML email feature enough.

I just found 4.5.0.52 Release 75 online. I have .42, but just to let you know it's out there.

I was talking about Finder, because I know which OS he downloaded. I know the .52 is out there, and I am having the worst luck at finding it haha. I really wish I could get some help in finding it.

Not sure why you're having problems, I found it in about 2 minutes using 1 search. This one was easier for me to find than the other betas. Sorry.

You got the OS for the 8300? Sometimes you have to start the application loader in the dm for the update to start. If it doesn't, make sure vendor.xml didn't creep back in.

If for some reason upgrading the os bricks your bb, would this be covered under the insurance policy?

No, this would not be covered by insurance.

::edit:: Rest assured, though, that the good folks here on PinStack will help you with getting your device back in working order!

If you mess it up, the worst that would happen is mess up the software, not the hardware. So don't worry...software problems can always be fixed on your own and with the help of the folks on this site.

When looking for 4.5.0.46. It took me to the .52 version. Will the .52 version be compatible with my 8300. I don't want to mess it up or anything.

Yes it will work as long as it is .52 for the 8300. Remember you can't install a 8800 .52 on an 8300...It just doesn't work that way. Please remember it is a beta though and can damage your device.

24-hours of use so far, with 4.5.0.52 on my 8300! Works smoother and cleaner then anything I've used yet. Less battery drain than .46 too. I've stopped looking for ".54" or any other version that may come out in the very near future. I'm still hearing that .37 is what will be released by AT&T/T-Mobile in September...hope they come to their senses before then.
