Glad everything went smooth for you. When I upgrade, I normally go do something else and not worry about if the upgrade is done or not, or else I'd think something is wrong

I think if you go to the BB site they have the upgrades there finally I checked last week and they have 4.5 but don't know if its .37 or something else I have ATT but I already have beta 4.5.42 with no probs so that's what I'm sticking with! ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I'm now running v4.5.0.52 (platform 2.7.0.66) on my 8300 and have been testing it out for the past several hours. It is the most stable 4.5 OS that I've used, or heard about. I've had no issues whatsoever...no lockups, no reboots, no browser/cursor problems, no memory issues and the battery seems to be holding as normal.

I guess this platform is considered "beta", but I'm sticking with it until there are any additional benefits that I can gain from a newer platform (I'm not going to upgrade my OS just because I can...)

HTML mail is the best and things are working very smoothly. Hope others with different models have the same luck, when they find .52!
Greetings from the Land of OZ!

I haven't had any luck searching for .46 or .52 for my 8300. Will keep trying.

I upgraded sucessfully last night and see no issues. One question regarding Empower html viewer though. I see it still on my bb but no icon for it. Are still going to need it with 4.5? Or no. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I've upgraded to .52 as well, and see no big issuses, memory is good where it was leaking on .42. Overall seems pretty stable

Mikadad, if you see the app and no icon, you'll need to reinstall it, then the icon will appear~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Bluefairy, the 4.5 OS is on Sri Lanka's site, not on any of the US provider's.
Jdee, yo don't have to only use the att provider's OS, but once you download the new OS you'll have to delete the vendor.xml file. To upgrade your OS you'll have to get desktop manager from blackberry's site and download any of the OS from their site

While I'd love to give you the answers, you may want to hang out in the Blackberry Guides, how to's & FAQs section. There is a lot of good information in there that may help you with other questions. I recommend that, just to give yourself some more ammo when facing further difficulties, especially with updating the OS.
