Ok I have it running on .42 now for the last hour. About 45-50 minute flawless install. Everything is working, UMA is holding strong on my 8320. I went from 4.2.2.184 and I always started with about 22mb free. With this I started with 10mb free and I'm down to about 6.5mb in an hour without really doing anything.

Dont understand why these 4.5os' memory isn't good and it leaks, so frustrating. But it seems really stable.

.42 is going good for me. No leaks as of 2 hours using it. Still have jacked up banners on custom themes though. I don't understand why carriers are releasing half-assed beta os's on their new phones. Because they're clearly not ready yet

I normally do that but I didnt this time. How much can it normally free on this? 3-4mb? If I were to delete them all now and then startup DM will it automatically start a reinstall? Also, will it take less time?

No you'll have to run the app loader again but it shouldn't take long and just to be clear you are deleting the .cod files from the os installed on your computer right?because if you delete them from there you should gain much more than 3 to 4mb~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Ok just deleted 19mb of language cod's I dont need off of my computer and ran desktop manager. It only showed it was removing 2 lang .cod files when I just deleted like 500.

Available memory now 11mb and thats after removing viigo!!

I went in to app loader again afterward to look at the installed .cod files and the only language ones listed are .en

    Any thoughts?

Reboots, after ALT, SHFT, DEL ... Take about a minute... Haven't done a battery pull yet.

I've noticed the device freezing up when it wakes up with .42. Don't wanna try it again, I've been sitting at the desk all day, and not doing what I would rather be doing. So, I rolled back to .37. It didn't give me any real trouble.
Ugh, couldnt think of anything to change it to.

Hmm strange. I loved .18 and then went to .37 and it was a total nightmare especially due to UMA not working with my 8320. .42 is the most stable 4.5 beta yet for me except for the typical memory problem. Other than that, all good. Its definitely prettier and faster than the last offical release 4.2.2.184.

    Help

I installed .37 and when i try to play a video using "open" i get the message "The current media can not be played from the network. Save it first for local playback". Today i install the .42 and the problem is still there.

Before .37 i played videos and voice messages (blackberry messenger) without problems.

    somebody knows what's happening?
    Thanks you

Is there a way to make UMA for web browsing and EDGE for calling?

Go into control panel > add remove programs and delete any previous install of an older BB OS.

    That should do the trick.
