Saw this today (makes .28 look old for some devices, huh?). I'm running an 8110 and despite hours of searching, I can find beta versions of 4.5 for pretty much every device except mine. if anyone can send me a hint or suggestion, I'd really appreciate it.

    0S v4.5 uprade on 8310 successful

For those of you on the fence, go for it. I can now record videos and voice notes, as well as severl other features. Anyone know about the Cell Broadcasting Serice? I know how it's used, but is there a channel id list somewhere? Is it supposed to auto populate? TIA!

I'm assuming you are referring to the 4.5 beta or did I miss a release announcement somewhere?

I must be really lucky because I've only had problems minutes after the first installation of each build I've had, excluding the admissible signal hiccups. On .10, the icon resetting problem was cured with one battery pull; on .18, the first and only freeze was cured with a battery pull; and on .28, the first freeze so far was cured with an Alt+Shift+Del. I would say my luck comes from keeping the number of third party apps to a minimum but others start with fresh installs and still have had problems. -shrug-

I think I'm staying with .28 until the official comes out, though. It's the smoothest and most stable for me so far.

Be careful folks! Please read the 1st post in this thread here.

I'm talking to DevourU and wills916 as well as murphdsurf. Discussion is OK. Asking for and distributing IS NOT until RIM releases the OS.

I searched for a while and have yet to find a leaked version. I know there is one since a mod or two are using the .37 version. All I can say is keep looking.

Is .37 out in the "wild" yet? I haven't started looking for it yet.
