led always on
hey everyone. first post for me!!
problem 1: my status led stays on when i do NOT have an alert. if i have a message, low battery, voice mail, missed call, etc it will blink properly. once i clear the alert it goes back to solid red(normally red).
problem 2: my colorball program will not work? i can change options but they do not apply. anybody else with same problem?
app version: 220.127.116.11

problem one is a known bug and only thing i can say is two things which involve problem 2 is to remove colorball prog it doesn't work at all which should fix the led staying on. Or if you want to keep the prog then you need to go to options the to screen and keyboard then scroll down to LED Coverage Indicator and turn that on. that should do it for ya

I'm currently using 18.104.22.168 on my 8100, everything seems fine until after running it for 3 weeks i've noticed that im not able to open any calendar details. When select open, nothing happens.
Also after that, whenever i receive a meeting request via email, i cant open tat message too. But when select, i noticed that it will be automatically be added on my calendar. Not too sure if it auto accepts the meeting request.
Just wondering, does anyone see's 2 options in the Default Services under Options Menu ?
The option that's always there is the Messaging (CMIME) , where you're able to select which email account to be set as default when sending out emails.
And on very rare occassions, i'll see another option "Calendar (CICAL),
similar to the Messaging, but you're able to set the default email account to be used whenever you send out a meeting invitation.
Does anyone else face the same problem ?

thanks fritter for that!

Software has a big effect on how hardware works. so i would say it safe to say the new OS may have boosted bluetooth performance

i thought i read that the 4.5 release will give 8100 the A2DP bluetooth profile. i can still only get music to play through bluetooth with xplayer, not the blackberry media player. any ideas?

Those running 4.5 OS BETA for the 8310...
Are emails supposed to be viewed in HTML format?

I thought that was not possible until either your provider's BIS or your BES server has been upgraded.

I am running v188.8.131.52 on a Curve 8320. I downloaded the CNN shortcut from the BlackBerry website and so far I haven't been able to get it to work. It comes up with an error message "Uncaught exception net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessExceptio n" All the permissions are set to allow.

I would recommend getting rid of 10 and installing .18. I have .18 on my 8320 and can view youtube.
