Well thanks to Jason Emerick we now have a "working" bbWeather (0.76). You can get it at http://bbrtm.org/bbweather/ (there is the option to get it over OTA, download it for Desktop Manager installation or get the source code).

    Why I emphasize the "working"?
Because I made the same change for the old ForecastFox (addon for Firefox browser) that works with The Weather Channel and sometimes it doesn't update. Don't know if it is related to these changes coming from them or was a network problem I myself had.

Perhaps the 4.5 is a developer OS and the 4.6 ist the final version.

In terms of slowness...that is an issue that is fixed by simply using it...it kinda has to break itself in...the memory card can be fixed by formatting your sd card with your bb...just make sure you back up everything first...I'm using 4.5 with virtually no issues.

The only problem I am having is that my signal drops occasionally.

Its all about what you want and what works best for you though honestly.

Really depends on how it worked for you. I loaded the first beta and it was terrible. Memory leak was an understatement. .18 has been really good for me so I am happy until or if an official 4.5 ever surfaces.

I went back to 4.2 for stability, I'll just wait for now.

When RIM decides the OS is stable enough for public release.

Well RIM I have been using 4.5 .18 for ages and its not bad. Apart from the slow memory leak and the loosing signalan things I can live with, its great.
So RIM you must have this fixed by now so release it. How about on Monday with the launch of the 9000!!!!!!!

I had 4.5 beta on OS since more than 3 weeks ago, and still in use. The only problem is those hidden icons on home screen kept come out every time I reboot the device. Nothing else. Big deal, everything works good and browser is quicker than 4.2. Also almost use video camera everyday, and I love it. Pictures is not that bad as others explained. Using 2GB card on it, it gives me no problem. I wont go back to 4.2 till officially version is being release sometimes soon, I hope so.

RIM, when are you gonna release new version?!?!?!?!
