| It IS interesting, mostly because the guy has been a BB user for 11 years and doesn't know the 1st thing about updating his handheld OS - that's interesting and unbelievable. Where to people keep their minds - he must have been walking around with a bag on his head. I don't mean to be disrespectful but I have a hard time with someone who doesn't even know the difference from a Pearl and most other BB's!

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Bad carrier experiences tend to differ from one person to another. At my last job I managed all the wireless devices for our cali operations. +/- 50 cell phones and +/- 10 blackberries. I experienced both bad and good customer service from att, sprint, and nextel (did not deal with any other carriers). Its really hit or miss and frankly I haven't found a store locally (att) with a knowledgable rep that could keep up with me. Its ok. I can deal with that bc I do know so much about the bb. But its never consistent. You have to learn to roll with the punches. For me, its purely the best signal in my area. Plain and simple. With that being said, this author does contradict himself. I do think that a lot of people return their bb's too prematurely and most of the time it can be fixed with a little research. But some are just too lazy. |

What bugs me the most is that he didn't know how to set up his email... actually no I believe it... some people just have no idea, but I can't imagine being THAT in the dark after using them for 11+ years! |

| To clarify most carriers train their sales reps in "training" nothing more or less. Pretty much up to the area or district to implement any advanced training in any device. Ive worked for the company for about 2 years now. My knowledge has come from myself and myself only. Why? because I choose to go around on my free time and learn. Thats why any questions or issue arises from any device in store they come to me. Those are the kind of reps you want to talk to or hope your nearby carrier store has, but as in life we can't always get what we wish for. You stand a 50% chance in getting what you want. You either do or you don't.. Sad to say his lack of knowledge for being a so called fellow BB Lover shows he "really" truly isn't. Lies, lies and more lies. Maybe its not even ATT and its another carrier. Guess we will never know. |

brooke03, really? You're certainly not alone. I happen to love it. And I never understood as to why so many people hate customer service so much. I've had AT&T before it was Cingular (Pacific Bell Wireless), and I can't say I've had more than a handful rep's who were rude, uncooperative, or so uninformed that it was laughable. I do, however, work in the industry. Not for any carrier per se, but I've ported all of my friends to AT&T, and I have yet to hear any complaints!???
