Does this really work? I just got a BB Curve 8320, for TMobile, and i dont wish to waste 30$ a month just for a data plan i will hardly use. I Currently have an UNLM messaging plan.. but if Picture messages arent able to work on the phone i will feel cheated out... Can someone point me in the right direction? What to download? tyvm |

I have 2 Blackberries on my AT&T plan without data(a curve and a pearl) and it works on both. I have seen others that couldn't make it work and oddly enough an AT&T rep told me it was impossible. I simply agreed with them and enjoyed what I have. My girls can SMS, MMS, and IM under my unltd multimedia family plan without a data plan. I have one phone on that family plan that has a data plan. ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ |

With the new OS all you will need is the "Blackberry Enabler" added to your account. It will cost you nothing and gives you access to T-Zones along with full MMS messaging capabilities. If you purchased the phone with service, they should have added it on during activation. If you got it afterwards, then it is a simple phone call to CS or visit to your local store. Zo |

Edit: this is no longer valid. I wrote it when one stacker was failing to load the new OS. Sorry. Just connect your device and run DM which should automatically tell you that an upgrade is available ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ Last edited by banglaberry; 04-08-2009 at 02:00 PM. |

Thank you amigo, Turns out i needed to do nothing at all. i receive MMS messages and can go on my web browser when i connect to my home internet via WiFi. I had another question though... if i use my wifi on my phone(access my home internet via my phone)... will i incur more tmobile fees? thanks again. |

Theoretically, no, you shouldn't see anymore fees when using the WiFi browser if you have no data plan, but I personally have little experience there since almost all my customers have BB data on their accounts. Now, if you have BB data, I can most confidently state, no, you will not incur any extra fees for using wifi at home on your BB device. Zo |
