OK, I just tried to resend it and it went through. Now I just need to wait for my buddy to see if the picture actually arrived on his phone. If this works, thanks a TON guys! EDIT: Success! Now able to send / receive pic messages and email, etc. Last edited by phuz; 03-18-2008 at 11:06 AM. |

really, the truth is all you need it to add media net pay per use and your pictures will go through... I'm a manager for an at&t store in Las Vegas, media net is a loadable application on your phone, but it's not the best application... the BlackBerry service doesn't operate well with it, but it is the "needed" portal for the at&t MMS tools...

So what is the best way to add the MMS... using the tmobile os, the austrailian os or just adding media net. if I add media net pay per use with the mms option just show up or do I have to have a different os for this? Thanks.

ATT forced me into a data plan on my BB. Seems they do a periodic sweep to determin if PDA device type phones are utilizing data services. I had the unlimited plan but they said it was for non PDA type handsets only. They have specific plans for PDA type phone which includes BB, iphone and Smartphones. Initially my phone did get higher case EDGE signal but within a week changed to lowercase edge when I lot my MMS and interned services. I simply upgraded my plan to the Data Plan. Oh they check by the EMI number assigned to your phone!

So they don't tell customers ahead of time before they rope you into another plan? This seems a little ridiculous. I asked an AT&T rep if they could push the service books to my phone since I'm paying for the unlimited messaging already and they told me that would be no problem.

First of all, thanks a TON for this writeup. I was so angry when I switched from VZW just to find out I couldn't send pix without a data plan. I got it to work but I have come across one small glitch and was wondering if anyone else is noticing the same thing. Maybe even hoping for a fix. If I receive a pix message and I reply, it doesn't seem to reach the recipients. I've tried it about 4 times, with VZW, TMO, and ATT and no one is getting my replys. Any ideas on this? |
