Can I get into yahoo chat room from my BB device? I dont see the option to do this. Please let me know.

I just updated to the new 2.0 on yahoo, with ATT , and it tells me that the service isnt enabled with my device ? any ideas ?

i keep getting the message "cannot restore read-only database on device". please help

The restore function shows the following message at the bottom: "Databases that are unavailable in the list have been configured for wireless synchronization or wireless back and are read-only. You cannot resotre or clear them."

I just got my curve and really want to be able to use Yahoo Messenger. I can't get the first step in these directions to work. Is there a newer or easier way?

I finally figured out there were many more pages in this forum. I was able to figure out how to do this using post #85 and the initial instructions and I am only on day 5 of owning a blackberry. My husband is deployed to another part of the world and I bought this just to be able to do IM with him. Thank you so much! To the leader of the site, maybe move #85 to the top.

But now I need to ask, If I am using the Y messenger from this post and not the one from OZ what type of minutes am I using? Data or Messenging?

The Yahoo that is being explained in this post uses data which requires a BB data plan.

I don't have a blackberry data plan. I use the "personal email" accounts through AT&T. I can't simultaneously have email and yahoo, it appears. Yahoo works fine, it's just that when I use those service books, it overwrites my ability to use my personal email accounts. I'm trying to figure out which is more important right now, but on my old blackberry I had both, so I'm a little spoiled. Any advice appreciated!

Do you have to have a data package to use this?? Cause I can't seem to make it work have the service books, have yahoo messenger, but when I try to log in.....it just sites on the connecting to yahoo screen and won't go any further?? I've done all the the battery pulls?? Kinda stuck for now.......
