The program OZ is supposed to usr SMS to send your IM's unless something has changed in the last week.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

| Re: How To: Configure Yahoo Messenger To Work On Cingular Devices
Anyone know whether this will work with the new yahoo messenger? I made the mistake of upgrading yesterday to the new 2.0 version and lost my capability of logging in. It worked fine on the original version but the same service books won't work with the new version. Does anyone have the service books for the new version or the original version that I can download and resinstall on my unit? I have an 8700c with 4.2 AT&T OS. Zo |

I did the same thing on my 8820. Updated to 2.0 and lost yahoo service altogether. That service book was definitely 1.0 specific.

So, some of you may have already been told to go to another site, and register for an account, to be able to get the service books. If you did that, you may have noticed all the service books that you didn't need. (Not to mention that you may have been given access to someone else's private emails/info.) Now you don't have to go there, or load all those unnecessary service books to your BB. All you have to do is click here to download the required service books. Only the Yahoo! Messenger v2 service books are included in this download. Then you can follow the remaining steps from the OP of this thread. |

When I try to restore the file that included YM Error message reads cannot restore read only files to device. I wonder if this is a BES problem with work enterprise?

Its seems that if you are on BES and wireless sycn is set from IT dept. You wont be able to restore those service books ERROR Cant restore read only files to Device. If there is a workaround somebody please post.

I get the same message. What happens for me is the service books can't be deleted when I try to reload the file with the addtl sevice books. I am using BES and some svc books can't be deleted how did you get the files in your device without deleting all books first~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
