Oz is the IM program you downloaded into your BB. The one with AOL, MSN and Yahoo.

| Re: How To: Configure Yahoo Messenger To Work On Cingular Devices
On step #2 where I am to restore the *.ipd file I downloaded I am getting the following error msg..."Can not restore readonly databases on handheld". I have a feeling that this is because my company want to control what is done on the blackberry and thus has taken control of what can be restored to it, correct? If so, is there a work around? | Re: How To: Configure Yahoo Messenger To Work On Cingular Devices
Can someone please help me out. I did the above and it worked fine. I have yahoo messenger working fine however the contacts that use msn are not showing up on my contact list. I think i need the newer version of yahoo messenger. Does anyone know if this works and if so what are the steps involved. Thanks in advance! Anyone? Onlty had my BB 7290 for 3 days so I am a self-admitted novice and noobie when it comes to this. But the instructions were clear and concise and I got it set up flawlessly on the first attempt...twice, LOL. 1st time was on my old OS and the second time after I upgraded my device OS to 4.1. Thank you all for such an informative and friendly bunch. Jim |

Works Great, Thanks QUESTION: How do I add MSN contacts to Yahoo and communicate using this? Looks like it doesn't support MSN contacts on this mobile version. And this won't use TXT/SMS, right? Last edited by hyedipin; 09-02-2007 at 01:54 PM. |

Uses data for sure. Pretty sure you can't add MSN contacts on this version. Tucker |

| Re: How To: Configure Yahoo Messenger To Work On Cingular Devices
Hi all, I did this many moths ago and works great. But now I have a question/issue. I went into my BB Desktop Mgr and was going to delete a couple apps I don't use anymore. After 'unchecking' a couple of the apps and hitting next, it goes to the screen saying X app will be erased (normal)... BUT below that it shows this: Unrecognized modules that will be removed: net_rim_yahoo_messenger net_rim_bb_qm_yahoo_resource_en net_rim_bb_qm_lib I cancelled the delete before it went through, but I'm curious...if I go forward, I'm no rocket scientist, but I see my Y! IM going away. Have any of you had this same issue? If you can try it, but not go through with the actual deletion I'd appreciate it...curious if I'm unique! Thanks all! |
