I've got this almost working. I can log onto YIM now and my contact list got downloaded, but none of my contacts ever show as online. Yes I've started another YIM client to check that someone was one. Any ideas on what the problem is?

I followed the instructions and everything worked flawlessly, until I tried to login to YMsgr. Now it just says "Signing in as ..." Connecting to Yahoo! But it never connects. Any ideas? I really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks. -Vince |

I'm using an 8800 and just restoring the Y!M service book worked without having to replace or restore any other service books.

| Re: How To: Configure Yahoo Messenger To Work On Cingular Devices
I am excited to go home and try it on my new 8800. I was wondering if the same type of thing would be possible with Blackberrys news AIM app. Of course this is slightly complicated by the fact that I can't even download the darn app. If you go to blackberry.com/aim in your regular (computer) browser you get a message to try it on your phone. If I try it on my phone I get a message saying it's not compatible.

I downloaded the yahoo_messenger_service_book_OS_4.1.x_and_4.2.x file but when I tried to add to the Desktop Manager, it says " Error in the ....file. There is a XML syntax error on line 2" Thanks, Deccandude |
