I requested this nice little feature and didn't even have to give the code to the rep. He seemed to know what I was talking about. However I will belive this when I see the bill. The Sprint store was supposed to activate my mobile plan tonight and they did not. Thanks for the info.

The code works, i signed up and they accepted the code. I have a stupid question about unlimited text, is the texting for aol,yahoo,icq and all others? there is no charge for BB messenger. AM i correct here?

My understanding is that the text messaging is for text messages - the kind where you send a message to someone else's phone number.

As long as you have an unlimited data plan, all of the others are automatically unlimited (at least that is what I was told in another thread).

On the phone with them now and they are telling me that it was an old promotion and they cant offer that to me. So now Im waiting to speak with an supervisor.

You need to speek with Blackberry Support and tell them the code.

I just called sprint and gave them the reference code from earlier posts. Sales rep said it wasn't available for my blackberry. Is this an on going thing or was it something that ended a while back?

You need to speak with someone in blackberry support. Not the regular phone support. They have to look it up and they should find it. I know some people have had problems getting it but, it only took me a few minutes to get mine the other night after I had another problem that they took care of.

They don't advertise the sms plan and most sales reps don't know about it because its not advertised. The code that sprint uses in their system is. #c2wsmsunl 4bb if you give them this reference they will see the offer. It is only available for BIS. This is for CDMA(sprint) not IDEN(nextel)

Just got off the phone with Sprint's Blackberry Support and asked them about this. The rep looked up the code and added the $5 for unlimited text. Anytime I have a problem with my blackberry it is easier to call Sprint BB Support directly. Here is the number for anyone that wants to try, 1-877-654-9111.

please keep in mind that the 'Nextel' Blackberry does not have the option to send SMS, therefore it's not really an issue that should be concerning, unless of course you are being billed for these, they are capable of reciving SMS.
