You should see an improvement in the verizon signal if they decide to go that route but since you are saying you have both in your area already I would worry more about if you are in one of the markets that are gonna get dumbed. As far as dising Alltel I never will. I wish the Merger could have been the reverse. That way the Verizon folks who are so hung up on in calling(mobile to mobile which every carrier has) could enjoy My Circle and true unlimited everything and not be nickeled and dimed for the things they want. This is all IMO of course I just hope it improves both services and before my contract ends Verizon adopts my circle and other things Alltel customers have come to love.

Not dissing AllTell at all on my end. I think they have one of the most ingenious ideas when it comes to advertising. I definitely remember the name and the commercials. I have to agree with cowboy on Verizon's policies and hope to see some changes for the better. I sell 10 to 1 when it comes to T-Mobile to Verizon just because of the nickel and dime policy they have in effect. Once customers start adding on features and comparing price they start moving away from VZW. Usually the final blow comes when they ask how much their first bill is going to be.

Question Poor Chad

Chad's probably going to take his place in history beside the other marketing heros like the Dell computer guy. Remember him???? But Chad working with the Verizon guy would be a hoot. Chad would have to go out and test signals while the Verizon guy sat in an office behind a desk going Can you hear me now?

I'm with Alltel currently and I've read the info on their site regarding the merger but I'm still pretty much wondering what is going on? I called Alltel today about an upgrade (my plan expires in April) and sure enough I can get an upgrade with a two-year contract agreement. So I'm inclined to think that Alltel is going to continue to sell all of these services and then out of nowhere we'll get a nice letter saying See Ya!
