    Tour will not turn on

    Hello all

I just got my phone yesterday and it was working fine and dandy. I left it on my coffee table (not charging) overnight, and now I can't turn it on. I have it charging now but that isn't helping. I can't get past the white screen with a little battery and a lightning bolt on it. It sometimes has that spinning clock and looks like its about to turn on but never actually turns on. I have two questions

    1) wtf?

    2) what should i do?

Any help would be great. Hopefully I am not being too vague/dumb

I was going to ask how long it had been on the charger for, then I read your second post. Glad it's working ok.

My biggest reminder to new tour users is to remember that it has a ridiculously long boot up time. Mine seems like it takes 5 to 7 minutes to boot. It is easy to get impatient.

This must be your first blackberry, if it gets completely dead, it takes a few minutes to charge and then turn on. Don't let the battery completely drain, you will first lose your service and then it shuts off but only in standby mode once you charge it will turn back on by itself.

I had the same thing happen.

I left it OFF (@100% charge) overnight and in the AM it was dead. Eventually got the battery, then finally the darn thing booted.

This thing is crap for battery life. I want my 8330 back, or even my 8830.

Hi Nicky, welcome to PinStack. I'm betting a solution was found by now, considering the thread is 2 1/2 years old.

I think the solution was leave it charging for a while. When the battery is 100% dead it takes a while to get back to a level that the phone will actually restart
