    Should I change??

I am currently on my 6th Blackberry Bold 9900. . My network provider is offering me the option to swap my 9900 for a Bold 9790. I love my 9900-but I'm tired of the constant freezing on ALL of my previous handsets-despite using the most recent software (7.1.0.205). I'm considering taking the 9790, because I've seriously had enough. Do you think it's wise? Does anyone have the 9790? Is it great? HELP!!!

Welcome back, milz! Haven't seen you in awhile.

Not sure why you've had such bad luck with the 9900, but I don't know if I'd "downgrade" to the 9790. And it would definitely be a downgrade. You would NOT be happy with the 97xx series after having the 9900. If you aren't dead set on BlackBerry, why not try something else? What other options do you have from your provider?

There is one feature of the 9790 that is better than the 9900: the camera. The 9790 has an autofocus camera. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pho...view?artc_pg=6

God. Since when is offering a customer a downgrade acceptable?

Seems to me that its the responsibility of the carrier to offer either a working device or bump you up.
I'd tell them to either fix the problems with the original device or I'd bail.

Can't believe ALL 9900s have issues.

It's time to hire some to fix your 9900.

I would definitely not downgrade but instead ask for a brand new 9900

Hey all-it's been a while since I posed this question. Thanks Roger! I have been away for a long time. I decided to stick with my 9900. I found that upgraded the software regularly made a huge difference. I'm glad I didnt change. My sister did-to the 9790 and she's had a whole bunch of problems! Thanks all for responding!!

Don't downgrade. Do a circuit of phone shops and also online. Then get the best prices and contact your supplier and say what others are offering. We swapped providers as our deal was with Virgin but Vodafone contacted us gave me an upgrade of 9320, two months free and discount of Ł4 of the monthly price (so in UK monies its only costing me Ł11.50 per month).

    Don't settle on a downgrade.
