Sorry about that double click the batch file, dos window opens, press any key, all done. wait for bb to reboot
Hi everyone, I was having this mass storage problem with my BB 8820. drove me crazy & kept me awake at nights looking for a solution. then i came across this thread & in 10 minutes the problem was over.
BB showed on my pc and D.M. (VER.6) FINALLY RECOGNISED the media card. THANKS A TON. YOU ARE GOOD.
any suggestion on how to view & edit excel files on 8820, i copied the file to DOCUMENTS folder but where do i go from there.
can you help me please, it doesn't seem to be working for me when it opens it up in my winzip and i double click the hahanew.exe it extracts it and then flashes a window and disappears in a second before you can even see it and thats all what happens.
This is what i did,
> Extract the files into a folder
> Run BB storage Activation new.bat
> Click any key
> Your phone will reboot
> voila! The Removable Disk file will appear when you open My Computer.
** media sync still won't work but at least i can view and manage my files
Thanks to all who contributed in this thread I have fixed my wife's 9000 a big, big thanks to all..............for doing the hard work and it was the BB site link that worked for me.............................YEEEEEHHHHaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved this! I have a Curve 8310. Desktop Manager wouldn't recognize my mass media even though mass media storage was enabled on my phone. I've spent too many hours trying to figure out what is going on with this Blackberry and this solved it in a second.
Extract the files from the folder into a new folder if you're having trouble running the batch program.
Wonder if this will somehow stop my phone from deleting my BBM chat history. Can only hope! Thanks a bunch!
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
Click to download and run the tool.
A new window opens. If your BlackBerry smartphone is password protected, you will be prompted for the password to authorize the installation.
When the update is completed, the window should close and the BlackBerry smartphone should reset.
After the BlackBerry smartphone resets, USB mass storage functionality should be restored.
