Gave an error trying it on a BB Bold 9700?

I tried running the batch file and it gave me a message of "Could not connect to Blackberry Device Manager".
Am i missing something. The BB is connected to the usb port and it is recognized by the PC.

    PLEASE HELP.

Alternative Solution - check for drive mapping

I struggled with this for a while, solutions didn't work then I found the (my) problem.

Our login scripts were putting a network drive over the letter that the PC was allocating to the Blackberry.

Here is how I found it: (Win xp pro)
    • Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management --> Storage --> Disk Management
If the blackberry is there, it will show up with it's allocated drive letter.

If the drive letter corresponds to a drive mapping allocated by your company, then the blackberry won't show up in 'my computer' and can't be accessed.

Simple solution is to change the allocated drive letter to the blackberry - Right mouse click on the drive in disk management and select 'Change drive letter and paths'. I allocated 'B' to mine

This worked immediately and I could access the Blackberry SSD immediately.

    Regards

    Phil

Rfering to the 1st post, what do you do with OR how do you run a .rar file. I need mass storage fixed on my laptop real bad!

Calfix was the only solution for my bold 9700

my 9700 went away for repair and came back "refurb'd" from vodafone (uk) no other fix to restore the mass storage feature worked. Thanks to all involved.

It's worth noting that Vodafone dont recognise this as a fault and therefore won't repair or replace it (despite being the cause of the problem) instead, they offered my money off of a new handset (my bold is only 6 monthes old) Jokers!
